It’s that time of the year again when we start to speculate about Apple’s upcoming annual iPhone launches. The company’s investors should be satiated for the time being, as Apple continues to flirt with the $1 Trillion market valuation mark. As Apple races to the top, it’s also looking to cover its bases, suggests the rumor mill.
Apple’s expected to launch three new iPhones this year, that we’ve tentatively dubbed as the iPhone 9, iPhone X(s), and iPhone X(s) Plus. Out of these, the iPhone 9 will expectedly feature a 6.1″ LCD panel and remove some features to bring down cost. At the same time, it will ensure that the smartphone features the lineup’s new design language in the form of a display notch and a near bezel-free display. Today, we’ve got some speculation for the 2018 iPhone lineup’s launch. Head over below for more details.

Apple Might Launch The 2018 iPhone 9, iPhone X(s), And iPhone X(s) Plus On September 15th Suggests Some Level Headed Conjecture
With last year’s iPhone X, Apple finally upgraded the lineup’s design and form factor after keeping it consistent since the iPhone 6/6 Plus’ launch. However, where Cupertino gave with one hand, it took away with the other. The iPhone X features an amazing design upgrade from previous models (save the necessary notch) but also carries a $999 price tag; a fact that has helped Apple maintain revenues despite falling shipments, but has also denied many users the opportunity to experience the company’s latest design change.
Well, looks like Apple is set to bring its new design and 3D facial recognition down to a lower price point. However, this move isn’t motivated by altruism and instead it will cater to a problem that might become too big to take care of if Apple delays. Older iPhone users are hesitant to upgrade – a fact that results in revenues appearing on Apple’s balance sheets later than if they’d simply buy a new iPhone as soon as it came out.

Now, folks over at CNET have speculated about Apple’s expected launch date for the 2018 iPhone lineup. Apple generally launches the iPhone lineup in the first half of September with the gadgets releasing by the 20th, unless delayed by production delays. Today’s report also bases itself on similar details.
Apple’s September 15th Launch For The 2018 iPhone Lineup Is Backed By Evidence As Abosuletly Zero Details Surface For Their Nomenclature
CNET’s reasoning uses the fact that as labor day will fall on the 3rd of September and whenever this occurred in the past six years, Apple launched the iPhone in the coming week. Combining this with the company’s apparent fascination with Tuesdays or Wednesdays for a launch (providing it with a few extra days for rehearsal), and the verdict puts this year’s iPhone launch on either 9/11, or 9/12; with the former not being apt for a launch event.
With this in mind, we’d like to bring another fact to light today. While it’s nearly certain that Apple will launch three iPhones this year, what the company will call them still remains in doubt. We had a similar case last year, with details for the iPhone X’s name being clear only a handful of weeks prior to its launch. While we’ve tentatively dubbed them as the iPhone 9, iPhone X(s), and iPhone X(s) Plus, there’s another more interesting possibility.
Given that the iPhone 9 will carry the same look as the iPhone X, but with toned down features, Apple just might call it the iPhone Xc, and dub the other two as the. iPhone XI and iPhone XI Plus. This will introduce much-needed continuity into the lineup’s nomenclature, but we believe that Apple will be better off by calling it as iPhone 9 for two reasons. First, this won’t bring the air of ‘low-quality’ associated with the ‘c’ branding and second, it’ll mark for a nice and major upgrade over the current iPhone 8.
