We have been covering details on the new iPad Air 3 and iPad mini 5 extensively. If you are unfamiliar, Apple has announced its newest addition to the iPad Air and iPad mini family. The set of devices come with the company’s in-house A12 Bionic chips which are blazing fast and feature several improvements over their predecessor. However, there are certain features which are still nowhere to be found.
iPad Air 3 And iPad mini 5 Does Not Have A ProMotion Display
As we have mentioned earlier, the iPad Air 3 and iPad mini 5, both include several features which are not found on their predecessors. One of the most important addition to the table in terms of display specs is the inclusion of True Tone technology.

True Tone allows Apple’s latest iPad models to measure the light in a room and present a proper color balance and intensity on the display. The sole purpose of the technology is to reduce the harshness and make the display easier on the eyes. The iPad mini 5 is the first iPad model in the lineup to feature the new technology and it’s a welcome addition.
However, there both, the iPad Air 3 and iPad mini 5 do not feature the company’s popular ProMotion technology. ProMotion automatically adjusts the display to the way we interact with the device. It also includes refresh rates stretching up to 120Hz and aids in fluid scrolling, enhanced responsiveness and overall a smoother content flow.
Even though the display on both tablets are great, there is no ProMotion tech present for you to take advantage of on the new iPad Air 3 and iPad mini 5. That’s okay, both iPad models come at a considerably budget price tag and performance is the main focus.
There will be more to the story, so be sure to stay tuned in for more details on the matter. It has also been noted that Apple has pulled the plug for its 10.5-inch iPad Pro. Do check that out if you haven’t already.
