According to the latest reports, the iPhone X, which premiered last November in the market, has all the ballots to disappear from the market when the new generation of smartphones from Apple is released; that is, in September 2018. It will be then when, according to the rumours and the most recent leaks, Apple will launch three new models to renew its catalogue.
Apple’s Super-Expensive iPhone X Will Be ‘Dead’ This Year
Until the time comes, September 2018, it can not be confirmed officially. But the iPhone X, which premiered last November in the market, has all the ballots to disappear from the market when the new generation of smartphones from Apple is released; that is, in September 2018. It will be then when, according to the rumours and the most recent leaks, Apple will launch three new models to renew its catalogue.
The iPhone X, which is also known as ‘iPhone ten’, is named after the tenth anniversary since the first iPhone was launched. It is a nod to the history of Apple, and that is why it also has a different design from the iPhone 8, and has released OLED technology, for example, or Face ID facial recognition technology. It is a special edition in the catalogue of the Cupertino company and, as such, it seems that it will not have continuity. However, the design of the terminal itself will remain in the 2018 models.
The iPhone X will not continue to be sold when the iPhones of 2018 will be launched on the market in September
There are few iPhone models that have been only one year in the market, or at least in the official Apple catalogue. The Cupertino company usually keeps them for two or three years as usual, but the iPhone X, according to this information, the tech giant Apple will stop selling in 2018, as the next generation of smartphones from Apple will arrive soon. The ‘iPhone 10th anniversary’ will have – something like – a second generation. Effectively, there will be a 5.8-inch model with the same design, or very similar.
But it will also sell an LCD model with 6.1-inches, and a third model with 6.5-inches which will feature an OLED display. In this line-up, it could have fitted the iPhone X at a cheaper price. However, the Cupertino firm could keep the iPhone 8, which have 4.7 and 5.5 inches, respectively, and leave the rest of the catalogue for new models, with significantly higher dimensions and performance. In addition, all of them will come with the format ‘all screen’, without frames and with Face ID facial recognition technology.
