We all know very well that making a video slower is not an easy task. If the images were captured in a standard format, the video will not have as many frames per second and will look strange after being edited. However, now according to the latest reports, Nvidia has developed a new AI that could easily transform any standard video into slow motion.
NVIDIA: Transforming Standard Video Into Slow Motion With AI
Everyone knows very well that how difficult it is to Make a video slower, yes, it is not an easy task. If the images were captured in a standard format, the video will not have as many frames per second and will look strange after being edited.
However, now we should thank the AI (artificial intelligence) tested by the well-known American technology company, of course, I am talking about Nvidia, through which this process could become much simpler.
In one experiment, the well-known American technology company, of course, Nvidia used deep learning simply to make a 30 fps video be displayed in a slow motion of 240 fps.
To achieve this goal, AI (artificial intelligence) compares two frames of the original file and creates scenes that simulate how the elements present in the video would move in that range.
In the future, the solution might be a good tool for editing videos that have already been recorded with our smartphone. Moreover, the well-known American technology company, of course, Nvidia’s researchers simply believe that this would be one of the main purposes of the feature.
“While it is possible to make 240 fps videos with a mobile phone, recording everything at high frame rates is impractical as it requires great memories and consumes a lot of power on mobile devices,” said Nvidia researchers.
AI (artificial intelligence) still has some limitations for modifying very different videos. In this case, the researchers need to give a training with a similar material so that it understands what it is and is able to modify the other video.
However, the well-known American technology company, of course, Nvidia also remembers that its solution is capable of creating only seven frames at each interval, which does not prevent good results in the edited videos.
