We all know very well that for many years, the giant chip manufacturer Qualcomm has maintained four rows of its mobile processors – 200, 400, 600 and 800 – present from basic cell phones to expensive smartphones. However, now according to the latest reports, the giant chip manufacturer will soon introduce its new Snapdragon 1000 series with lots of extraordinary features.
Details On Qualcomm Snapdragon 1000 Revealed
The tech giant Microsoft does not stop growing and evolving simply to adapt to the current market, as in several ways this is a firm that is responsible for setting trends in some technological sectors, especially thanks to what could be considered its flagship product, Windows 10.
That is why the firm based in Redmond at the moment is embarked on an ambitious project to which little by little is shaping, we are talking about ARM equipment based on the aforementioned system, Windows 10.
It is true that they have already seen on the market these first computers called “Always Connected PCs”, although we must also admit that at the moment their acceptance has been very limited, so they have received more criticism than anything else.
Many of these have been due to the limited performance offered by these computers with Windows 10 and Qualcomm ARM processors, all in spite of the initial promises of the firms, which compared the performance of these products, with those based on Intel or AMD processors. On the contrary, these devices offer some advantages such as the LTE connection, its high autonomy, or its rapid start.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 1000, the future of ARM computers with Windows 10
To alleviate the disadvantages that appeared in the first generation of Windows 10 computers at ARM, the chip manufacturer, of course, Qualcomm is working on a very important development for the future of these products, the Snapdragon 1000, codenamed SDM1000.
Over the past few weeks, there have been several leaks regarding this new processor, which aims to enhance the acceptance of these “Always Connected PCs” in coming months. They will be part of the “heart” of the new generation of ARM equipment with Windows 10, and as far as we know, this new 12W processor would come with LPDDR4X RAM of up to 16GB and two 128 GB UFS 2.1 modules.
With all this is intended that these teams can compete for face to face with the current Intel or AMD, so they will have to run without any problems all kinds of applications, both native UWP, such as Win32, the latter, one of the big problems before those faced by ARM computers with Windows 10, “Always Connected PCs” today.
