It is based on this type of partnership that Optiemus Infracom is launching two mid-range Android smartphones: BlackBerry Evolve and Evolve X. Initially both will be marketed in India.
The specifications are similar. Both models have a 5.99-inch IPS screen with full HD resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 64 GB of internal space for microSD expandable data storage, 20-megapixel front camera, 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and Android 8.1 Oreo. Moreover, even though they bear the BlackBerry brand, none of them have a physical keyboard.
Other common features include support for two SIM cards, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB-C port, a fingerprint reader on the back, FM radio and headphone jack.

In other specs, the BlackBerry Evolve comes with 1.8 GHz Snapdragon 450 chip with Adreno 506 GPU, 4 GB RAM and 13 + 13-megapixel dual rear camera.
In turn, the BlackBerry Evolve X comes with a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660 processor, Adreno 512 GPU, 6GB RAM and dual 12 + 13-megapixel dual rear camera, Dolby Atmos audio, and wireless recharge standard support Qi.

It’s not just in appearance that both models carry the BlackBerry brand. Licensing also allows both Evolve and Evolve X to bring BlackBerry productivity and protection tools, including DTEK, which monitors application security parameters, and Hub+, which brings the calendar, launcher, password manager, to-do list and related.

Moreover, the BlackBerry Evolve sales will start this month. The device should be priced at approximately $360. Evolve X is scheduled for September with an estimated price of $510. At least for now, there is no forecast to launch outside India.
