Confidentiality
As the founder and head of the company, of course, Ahrefs, Dmitry Gerasimenko did not stop at this point since he is constantly discussed this fact in the industry.
Profit sharing
The tech giant Google does not share profits with content authors, and this is wrong, according to Ahrefs. “Google earns $100 billion from its search engine. Imagine that they suddenly introduce a profit-sharing model of 90/10, transferring $90 billion a year to those publishers who create content,” Dmitry Gerasimenko said.
“If we discard the hymns, then we plan to launch a search engine with a focus on confidentiality and a profit-sharing model of 90/10, where 90% will be received by the content creators, and 10% will remain on our expenses and incomes,” concluded the Ahrefs.
When asked whether this statement was an April Fool’s joke, Gerasimenko replied in the negative:-
