The Android Pie update has made its way to most, if not all 2018 flagships. The OneUI-based update brings a lot of welcome changes such as a system-wide Dark theme, among others. However, Good Lock has stopped working since Android Pie, much to the disappointment of fans (myself included). Today, Samsung just announced that they’ve made Good Lock compatible with Android Pie.
Good Lock provides users with an array for customizable features with apps such as Quickstar, Lockstar, Task Changer, Routines, Clockface, Edge Touch, Edge Lighting and more. The updated version brings some improvements for these features as well. Task Changer gets new styles for recent apps while MultiStar enables some of the Multi Window functionality that was removed from Pie. Much of the functionality remains the same, so you’ll be familiar with it if you have used Good Lock 2018. For some reason, Task Changer refuses to update on my Galaxy S9+ so I’ll have to check that out later.

Good Lock 2019, unfortunately, does not work with the Samsung Galaxy S10 currently and is available only for certain older devices running Android Pie. An update will be released later with support for the new flagship series. Good Lock is arguably one of the best OEM-supported customization tool suites. If you don’t like the how the default OneUI skin looks and don’t want to bother with a third-party launcher, give Good Lock a try.
Officially, Good Lock 2019 is only available to users in the United States, South Korea, Australia, Singapore, Canada, the United Kingdom and India. You can still, however, sideload the APK and use the applications individually. Those who have installed it already can update from within the app or via the Galaxy App Store. You can download all the different modules from the main app after installing it.
