Anthem, BioWare’s online action RPG, officially released yesterday. To celebrate the occasion, the developers shared a rather detailed 90-day roadmap of free updates coming in the next three months.
Next month, players will find new Elysian Stronghold Caches at the end of dungeons containing vanity items. They’re supposed to be an incentive to complete Strongholds instead of leaving in the middle. Phase One of the Legendary Missions system will roll out, introducing the ability to replay story missions at harder difficulty with tougher enemy NPC setups, and a new Freeplay event will be added.

April will see the first new Stronghold (dungeon) added to Anthem, called ‘The Sunken’; the roll-out of Phase Two of the Legendary Missions system; a Mastery System delivering expanded character progression and, last but not least, Leaderboards, Guilds and Weekly Stronghold Challenges.
May’s update is the least detailed in the roadmap, but it will introduce the first Cataclysm, supposed to be the toughest endgame activity when it launches. It’s also going to transform the landscape, or so we’ve been told previously. The update should also see the introduction of new missions, though it is unclear if these are faction missions or new ‘critical path’ missions.
