Today, Apple has seen fit to release a new beta build of its upcoming iOS 12.1.3 update to developers. The update arrives only a few days after the company rolled out iOS 12.1.2 to the general public which brought the eSIM feature and several changes related to the ongoing legal battle with Qualcomm in China. Other than iOS 12.1.3, Apple has also seeded the second developer beta of macOS 10.14.3 and tvOS 12.1.2. Let’s dive in to see some more details on the changes brought forward in the latest beta builds.
Apple Releases New iOS 12.1.3 Developer Beta Along With macOS 10.14.3 Beta 2 And tvOS 12.1.2 Beta 2
If you’re interested, you can download the new beta right now. If you’re a registered developer, you can download iOS 12.1.3 beta from the Apple Developer Center or via the over-the-air mechanism. However, do make sure that an appropriate profile is installed from the Developer Center.

One thing that you should keep note of is that iOS 12.1.3 beta features identical content which was meant for the iOS 12.1.2 beta. In addition to this, it was also labeled as a second beta rather than the first beta. Apple seems to have made several emergency changes or bug fixes which includes the aforementioned changes in the firmware oriented towards China. At this point, we’re not sure if the company has added a forward-facing addition to the table.
In addition to iOS 12.1.3 beta, Apple has also seeded the second beta of macOS 10.14.3 to developers. if you’re interested, you can download it through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences once a proper configuration profile is installed from the Apple Developer Center. It’s not clear at this stage what the new beta brings, but we will definitely let you guys know once developers are done tinkering with the latest build.

Lastly, Apple has also seeded the second beta of tvOS 12.1.2 to developers and is oriented towards the fourth and fifth generation of Apple TV models. If you’re interested, you can download the new beta build via a profile which is installed using Xcode on Mac. Historically, tvOS beta updates do not bring a vast number of changes. Instead, the primary focus of the builds is to enhance stability and performance. Nonetheless, we will let you guys know.
