Apple announced a while back that it would update iWork for both iOS and macOS with new features that are centered around education. The new updates to the suite are now live for everyone.
iWork Suite of Apps Updated for iOS macOS with New Education-Centric Features
Apple went all-out with its education initiative at its Field Trip event, and also promised quite a few things. This included an update to the iWork suite of apps that consists of Pages, Numbers and Keynote for both iOS and macOS.

In those updates Apple touted that teachers would be able to create digital books straight from Pages, while Apple Pencil support would be added to the iOS apps. That’s not all though, even if you don’t have an Apple Pencil you can annotate things using your finger. There’s also support for real-time collaboration regardless of which app you are using.
