CoD Black Ops 4 Beta for PC/PS4/XO Expected to Launch in August, GameStop Germany Believes

The Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Beta for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One is expected to launch this August, if retailer GameStop Germany is to be believed.

The German retailer briefly mentioned that they expect the private beta for both PS4 and Xbox One to kick off in August, and that Beta codes will be sent shortly before the beta starts. The minimum duration of this private beta is said to be 3 days.

In addition to the private beta for consoles, an open Black Ops 4 Beta for PC will allegedly take place August as well. As this will be an open beta, no codes is required.

We’ve included the translation from GameStop Germany’s website down below:

Beta’s for previous Call of Duty installments, including Black Ops 3 and WWII also took place in August. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is scheduled for a release on PC/PS4/XO on October 12th. The game was officially announced earlier this month.

“Black Ops 4 gives our community more ways to have fun with their friends than anything Treyarch has ever created and introduces meaningful innovations to every element of the game, including next level tactical team-based multiplayer, the biggest zombies offering yet and Blackout, where the largest map in Call of Duty history brings together the rich universe of Black Ops,” said Rob Kostich, EVP and GM, Call of Duty. “More than 200 million players have called Black Ops home, and they’ve played for more than 15 billion hours. This is an incredible community that has inspired the development team to take their innovative gameplay design to new heights.”
