Devil May Cry 5 Upcoming Mod Will Make The Final Boss Playable

Devil May Cry 5 features three different playable characters – Nero, V, and Dante – coming with a very different playstyle which add a lot of variety to the game. More characters may be coming soon, as we reported earlier this week, but it seems like we won’t have to wait much longer to play with the game’s final boss.

Before we proceed, there are huge story spoilers below, so avoid reading if you have yet to complete the game.

YouTuber and Modder Nekorun recently shared a video showing how he made Vergil playable. The character doesn’t seem to be broken, but his moveset is extremely limited. The mod that will allow him to be playable has yet to be released, but it should become available in the next few days.

The fact that a limited version of Vergil is found in the game and it is not broken at all seems to pretty much confirm that an expanded version of the character will eventually be added to the game. It would be very strange for Capcom not to add him to Devil May Cry 5, considering he is loved by the fans and that he has been playable in every Devil May Cry game since Devil May Cry 3.

Devil May Cry 5 is now available in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
