Android P launcher brings focus back to the dock
Dock fans would be delighted to see the dock coming back to its full glory. Android Oreo had kind of hidden the dock removing all the visual cues. With Android P, Pixel launcher now carries a transparent, cloudy shade to highlight the dock. As the dock carries your favorite apps and a Google search bar, giving it some focus helps it stand out from the rest of the clutter on your home screen.
Another change is the addition of the mic icon on the right side of the search bar. This will open up Google Assistant, offering easier access to Google’s smart assistant.
