Earlier this year Xiaomi released the first Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM for the POCO F1. The company has been releasing weekly Global Beta builds, and the most recent being MIUI 10 Global Beta 8.10.25. After its announcement alongside the Mi 8 lineup, Xiaomi had started rolling out the MIUI 10 Global Stable update for many of its phones. Last week the company announced that wait would finally end as the MIUI 10 Global Stable update for the phone would be rolled out this week. Today, the POCO team has tweeted that the MIUI 10 Global Stable 10.0.4.0 update has started rolling out for POCO F1 users.
POCO fans! #DiwaliwithMi just keeps getting better. We have started rolling out MIUI 10 stable for #POCOF1 to all users. It’s time to update!

Related Pocophone F1 To Be Updated to at Least Android Q
The update, however, is based on Android Oreo 8.1 and not Pie. Android Pie for the Poco F1 is still in beta, so it may be several weeks before it is available for download. The MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM for the POCO F1 can be downloaded from this link. As this is a recovery ROM, it can be flashed via the MIUI Updater app. Users won’t lose their data if they’re going from the MIUI 9 Global Stable to MIUI 10 Global Stable.
Although MIUI is one of the better, more feature-rich Android forks out there, Xiaomi’s insistence of pushing out a newer version of MIUI rather than Android has left a lot of their devices on an older version of the operating system. The company did promise that the POCO F1 will get support up to Android Q, receiving Oreo when other similarly-priced Nokia devices are already on Pie can be a little disheartening for fans.
