Dreams Beta Expands Next Week, Sign-Ups Open To All Now

Last month Sony and Media Molecule kicked off a very limited Dreams beta, open only to a select few that were already signed up to the Media Molecule newsletter. Thankfully, the beta will be expanding next week, and those who want to play can register now. The North America and EU sign-up links are below.

The main purpose of the closed beta is to show off the game’s creation tools – PSVR support and some campaign content will be missing. The beta weighs in a 4GB and doesn’t require PlayStation Plus to access online features. Whatever you create in the beta will be carried over into the final game. Media Molecule say they’re looking “lots of people” to participate in this phase of the beta, but they don’t guarantee everybody who signs up will get in, so don’t dawdle on registering.

Want to know more about Dreams? Wccftech’s Dave Aubrey recently got to go hands-on with some experiences created in the game…

“What was most impressive about Dreams was that each of the demos I played presented a different kind of game that could be created, and each of them was shockingly detailed and deep. […] After playing just a small bit of what Dreams has to offer, I’m convinced. Even if I can’t create anything interesting, I’m willing to buy it just to download and play the creations of others. On top of that, of course, the full game will come out next year with a story campaign handcrafted by Media Molecule.”

The next phase of the Dreams Creator Closed Beta kicks off on January 11 and continues until January 21. Dreams drifts onto PS4 sometime in 2019.
