Forza Horizon 4 Shows Off Spring, Urban Racing, Team Adventure, and More

Over the past month, Forza Horizon 4 developer Playground Games has doled out tons of info about their new open-world racer via a series of weekly livestreams. The first stream was all about summer, character customization and houses, the second was about autumn and the game’s Forzathon challenges, and the third focused on winter and car mastery. Well, grab your umbrella, because the fourth and final Forza Horizon 4 livestream provides a look at spring, the game’s main urban environment, Edinburgh, Team Adventures, and more! Here’s what you need to know about Team Adventure and Edinburgh:

Team Adventure

As the name implies, Team Adventure is a new team-based version of the Online Adventures from Forza Horizon 3. In this competitive mode, two teams of six will battle it out in up to five events – the first team to rack up three wins are the ultimate victors. In addition to a standard and Freeroam rush races, Playground demoed the new Survival mode, in which the two teams take on the roles of survivors and zombies. If a zombie car crashes into a survivor, they infect them, but survivors can heal themselves if they crash into a teammate. Looked like good, silly fun.

Edinburgh

Forza Horizon 4’s main urban environment will be the Scottish capital of Edinburgh. Playground explained they opted for Edinburgh because it was a more manageable size than, say, London, and its old, winding roads made unique driving opportunities. The fact that many Playground devs are from Scotland probably didn’t hurt, either. Edinburgh will play host to a variety of night-based street races, which really show off some of the Horizon 4’s Xbox One X-exclusive lighting features.
