With a week left until their launch, the Samsung’s Galaxy S10 lineup is under a consistent focus of rumors, leaks and reports. There are very few details for the Galaxy S10 lineup that haven’t made rounds so far, and as a result, we’ve got a good idea of what to expect from the smartphones next week. That being said, Samsung Vietnam wants to make things easier for everyone, as it has uploaded three short clips on YouTube that hint at features of the upcoming smartphones. Take a look below for more details.
Galaxy S10 Lineup’s Important Features Hinted At By Official Video Clips From Samsung
For Samsung (and most other companies) it’s always about big-ticket tech. These are features which can be marketed easily and can result in the everyday user gloss over other specifications of a smartphone. With the Galaxy Note 9, Samsung put the majority of its marketing efforts behind promoting the phablet’s S-Pen, battery and gaming features.

With the Galaxy S10, we’re likely to see the company focus on three features. These are ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, camera performance and battery life. So, when all three surface on Samsung Vietnam’s YouTube, it doesn’t come as a surprise. We’ll conduct this post by listing the three videos separately and then mentioning the rumors/reports for each of the features in the clip.
Galaxy S10 And Ultrasonic Fingerprint Recognition:
The fact that the Galaxy S10 will come with virtual fingerprint recognition has made rounds on the rumor mill since July of last year. At that time, it was the famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who claimed that the Galaxy S10 lineup will feature virtual fingerprint recognition. Samsung patented this feature in May, and the company was hesitant to order Iris recognition components in July as well.
The S10 lineup’s ultrasonic fingerprint recognition will give the smartphones a much-needed edge over their competitors especially the iPhone lineup. While Apple has switched to a completely different biometric technology with its smartphones, the ease of use offered by fingerprint recognition can’t be ignored, and the upcoming devices might have a big edge in the area.

Galaxy S10 And 4K Video Recording:
Camera specifications for the Galaxy S10 smartphones have also been surfacing since July of last year. 4K recording on the Galaxy S10 is a no-brainer as Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 also comes with this feature. While reports that surfaced in early 2018 focused primarily on the rear camera configuration of the S10s, a report that surfaced last week highlighted key camera features for the three Galaxy S10 devices.
According to this report, the S10 and X10 Plus will shoot FHD video with a 0.4s time interval, and the devices will also support 4K video recording. Additionally, Samsung will also encourage the use of the smartphones as action cameras, by providing software support to reduce shaky videos.
Galaxy S10 And Battery Life:
Rumors for the battery capacity of the Galaxy S10 lineup aren’t new. A leak that took place in January provided exact battery capacities for the three upcoming smartphones. According to those details, the Galaxy S10e, S10 and S10 Plus will feature battery packs of 3100, 3500 and 4000mAh respectively.
These details were partially corroborated today when an alleged specifications sheet for the three upcoming devices listed these capacities as 3100, 3400 and 4100mAh. Apart from this information, we can only guess what other changes Samsung will introduce on the S10 smartphones to give them either power efficient or with more resources.
