Galaxy S10 Suppliers & Launch Date Mentioned In Latest Report

Korean tech giant Samsung will launch its latest Galaxy S smartphones early next year. The company has slowed down the pace of upgrades on the iconic flagship lineup lately. With the S10 lineup, we’ve got several reasons to believe that Samsung will finally make meaningful upgrades to the S smartphones. These should prove sufficient at enticing users to purchase the gadgets.

A fresh report from Digitimes provides more details and adds a bit of intrigue into current rumors for the Galaxy S10 lineup. Take a look below for more details.

Samsung’s Galaxy S10 Lineup Will Launch On The Sidelines Of MWC 2019 As A Fresh Report Corroborates Earlier Details

One of the earliest reports for Samsung’s Galaxy S10 smartphones claimed that they will feature ultrasonic fingerprint sensors. Rumors of this feature for the S lineup have floated around ever since Synaptics developed its modules in 2016. Since then, two generations of Galaxy S have come and gone, but the sensors have not made it on the smartphones.

The aforementioned report came from Ming-Chi Kuo, and he claimed that GIS and O-fil will provide Samsung with the sensors. Now, today’s report from Digitimes makes similar claims. The publication believes that not only will the two companies be Samsung’s suppliers, but the Korean tech giant will launch the smartphones at the sidelines of MWC 2019.

This is the first time we’ve heard about the Galaxy S10’s launch from concrete sources. Earlier reports have claimed that Samsung will launch the smartphones early next year, potentially in January. So, either the sources got it wrong, or Samsung’s had to move its launch schedule forward.  Digitimes also claims that “The Galaxy S10 lineup is expected to come out with two OLED variants in sizes of 6.1 and 6.4-inch.” This is strange considering that current consensus on the rumor mill ranges between three to four devices.

If this is true, then Samsung will increase the Galaxy S10’s screen size to 6.1″. The Galaxy S10+, on the other hand, will feature a 6.4″ display. Both these smartphones will be OLED, and the latter might also feature 5G, as per the Wall Street Journal. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned.
