Google Pixel 3 XL In Its Clearly White Color Variant Leaks out in the Latest Image Gallery – Embracing the Notch but No Dual Camera

The Google Pixel 3 XL can be seen from both ends in the latest image gallery leak and though there are a few interesting design choices, some things were bothering us about them. For example, irrespective of the fact that the Pixel 2 XL came with the best smartphone camera possible in the industry, it appears that the Pixel 3 XL will be sticking to the same single-lens rear configuration as its predecessor. While that is nothing to be completely disappointed about, we have to note that having more lenses on a smartphone will give you access to more features, or has Google managed to find a way around that?

Dual-Front Camera Appears to Be Present on Pixel 3 XL – Notch and Chin Bezel Present but for Reasons Detailed Below

An XDA Junior Member dr.guru has shared what the Google Pixel 3 XL looks like from the front and back. Strangely enough, the device looks like it will be sporting a dual-camera lens system at the front but there is no inclusion of a dual lens at the back, meaning that Google will be relying on a single rear camera to make all the magic happen.

Last year, the Pixel 2 XL was able to produce images with a Bokeh effect while touting a single camera lens at the back, showing that you didn’t necessarily have to rely on a secondary lens to blur the background. However, you did lose out on telephoto capabilities, meaning that lossless zoom features were not present on the Pixel 2 XL’s camera.

It appears that the same feature might not be present with the official launch of the Pixel 3 XL, but who knows, Google might have found a way to enable lossless zoom with a single camera lens just like how Samsung managed to incorporate a variable aperture feature on the Galaxy S9.

There is a chin bezel present because if you look closely at these images, there is also a speaker grill where that bezel is placed. For smartphone users that enjoy media consumption, front-facing stereo speakers are expected to be a very welcome addition to a handset. The specifications of the Pixel 3 XL include a Snapdragon 845, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

The Pixel 3 XL might also provide support for Qi wireless charging, but that is all the info we have for you now. If you want to get to know more, stay tuned for future updates.
