343 Industries’ Halo MCC Xbox One X update will be arriving soon, Microsoft has promised.
The highly-anticipated patch for Halo: The Master Chief Collection was discussed during the latest episode of Xbox Inside, in which 343i’s Brian Jarrard and James Monosmith talked about what to expect from the update. In addition to “the full visual enhancement suite, including HDR support,” 343 Industries is revamping and modernizing Halo MCC with an UI refresh.

While no exact release date for the Xbox One X patch has been revealed, Microsoft took to Twitter to confirm that the update will be arriving soon. “Prepare your eyeballs for the Xbox One X Enhanced version of @Halo: The Master Chief Collection, coming soon”, the tweet reads.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection was released for Xbox One back in 2014. 343 Industries and Microsoft announced major fixes and improvements for the game, including the Xbox One X enhancements, last year.

Back in February of this year, 343 Industries community manager ‘Ske7ch’ shared that the update was coming along well. “Our work on Xbox One X enhancements continues, and the team has been growing as we focus ourselves around qualitative results”, he wrote. “There tends to be excitement around things we can do that celebrate these amazing games and deliver great benefit for our community, so it’s fun to watch the team pursue these enhancements and the enthusiasm they’re bringing to it. Plus, if you love game art, it’s just plain heaven to participate in the science and artistry of the how this gets approached.”
Jeremy Cook, Art Director on the project, added, “We look forward to higher fidelity and making use of the increased capabilities and opportunities that affords us. This will better enable clarity and screen economy in handling the vast amount of information we need to get across to the player.”
