The Honor 10 GT, as we covered earlier, will essentially be an Honor 10 with beastly specifications, with the smartphone officially getting released tomorrow in China. The price of the handset is extremely competitive, and if you haven’t yet checked out the hardware specifications, we suggest browsing through our comparison right away, because you’ll be impressed at how much of hardware can be placed in the smartphone and it can still retail for less than what flagships are costing.
Honor 10 GT Expected to Cost Less Than $500 – Official Launch in the U.S. Not Confirmed
The Honor 10 GT will retail for 3,299 yuan, making the price come to approximately $486 if you use direct currency conversion. According to the poster details, the phone will go on sale tomorrow at 10:08 am, and it will be sold through Vmall. The Honor 10 GT features 8GB of RAM, making it the first Honor handset touting this much RAM. The device will also feature 128GB of non-expandable storage, but if the Honor 10 did not feature a microSD card slot, then don’t expect its steroid-enhanced brother to sport it either.

The Honor 10 GT will also come with the recently introduced GPU Turbo technology which improves graphics performance by a mile. According to Honor, the GPU Turbo technology opens up the processing bottleneck between EMUI operating system, the CPU and GPU. The traditional graphics processing framework is reconstructed at the bottom of the system to achieve hard and soft coordination. This improves the overall efficiency of the GPU. The GPU Turbo technology can also reduce the power consumption of mobile GPUs by 30 percent.
The phone is powered by the HiSilicon’s Kirin 970 chipset SoC and accompanied by an ARM Mali-G72 MP12 GPU. The phone also sports a dual-camera setup on the back with a 16MP + 24 MP configuration, and the remainder of the specifications are the same as the Honor 10.
However, we doubt that you’ve seen such an affordable 8GB RAM smartphone in your life. The only other device that we suspect will feature this much RAM and belongs to the Huawei camp will be the upcoming Mate 20 Pro, and let us tell us, that will be quite an expensive powerhouse.
