Inside Xbox to Reveal Microsoft’s E3 Plans, New Sea of Thieves Info, and More Next Week

E3 2019 is rapidly approaching, and Xbox boss Phil Spencer has promised to “go big” at the show, so when will we get more specific details about Microsoft’s plans for this year? Next week, as it turns out! Microsoft has released a teaser for April’s Inside Xbox show, which will include info about Microsoft’s E3 plans, Sea of Thieves, Rage 2, new backward compatible titles, and much more! You can check out a quick teaser trailer for the show, below.

And here’s how Microsoft describes next week’s Inside Xbox:

Our hour-long April episode will explore some exciting Xbox Game Pass news, new details on the much anticipated Anniversary Update for Sea of Thieves, special guest Rod Fergusson from The Coalition, first details and footage of the Warhammer Chaosbane beta, an exclusive look at Rage 2, a handful of exciting backward compatibility announcements, and several surprises we’re saving for the show itself.

It will be interesting to see what exactly Microsoft has cooked up for E3. Last year, they abandoned the main E3 show floor in favor of the nearby Microsoft Theater, where they held their big media briefing and Xbox FanFest, so expect something similar (and perhaps even expanded) this year. Microsoft should have plenty to show off, as they launch their xCloud game streaming service this year, may have as many as four different new Xbox models in the works, will have new Halo Infinite and Gears of War 5 stuff to show, and, of course, all those new studios they’ve bought must be working on something! If you’re an Xbox partisan, this is the E3 for you.

But, in the meantime, we have the April Inside Xbox show, which kicks off at 2pm PT on April 16. Think we might get some pre-E3 surprises/big announcements on the show?
