Apple had seen fit to seed iOS 12.1 beta 1 to developers, a day after it released iOS 12 to the general public. iOS 12 features a boatload of new forward facing additions to the table as well extensions to some of the existing features. However, in the first beta of iOS 12.1, Apple has added support for Group FaceTime calls. So let’s dive in to see some more details on the matter.
iOS 12 Beta 1 Brings Back Support For Group FaceTime Calls
If you are a registered developer, you can download iOS 12 beta 1 from the Apple Developer Center using an appropriate configuration profile. As for what the new beta has in store is support for Group FaceTime calls, a feature which Apple pulled from its iOS 12 update. That’s right, the company had previously added support for Group FaceTime calls in the beta builds of iOS 12, but later removed it. It was said that the feature will make a comeback later in the year. Now, we know that it is in the works.

Group FaceTime calls in iOS 12.1 will allow users to make calls on the platform with up to 32 people. This is quite a number and we do not see any other video chatting app making use of it. So it is a much-awaited feature to look forward to.
