The 2019 operating system for the iPad will be bringing several productivity features to the platform. iOS 13 To Include Update Files App, Apple Pencil Improvements And Much More
iOS 13 is codenamed as “Yukon” and it will not arrive until next year. We have come to know iOS 13 as an iPad-focused update as it was first reported by Mark Gurman in a tweet a few days ago. The iPad is a very capable device with internals that beat several laptops. With all the processing power and built-in functionalities, the capability of the device is unquestionable.

For what we can expect, iPad specific updates in iOS 13 operating system will include an updated Files app, Apple Pencil improvements that could possibly relate to its feature set, tabs in apps like we see on in macOS and running same apps in Split View.

The iPad has the screen real estate to handle each and every one of the features mentioned. More importantly, we can state that the gap between iOS on iPad and macOS is weakening or shrinking. While Apple would not release a hybrid build for iOS and macOS, each feature that narrows the gap is welcome. This would ensure more functionality and will make the iPad a notebook replacement. However, the tablet can never replace a Mac due to its wide area of control and features.

Mark Gurman has detailed some features which we would see in the iOS 12 update this year. However, the major features have been moved to next year’s update.
