iPhone 7 & iPhone 8 Receive a Price Cut – Devices Now Start From $449 as Apple Kills off Other Models

With the announcement of the new iPhones, Apple has slashed the prices of two of the older models and discontinued the others, including theiPhone X that was released just a year ago.

Apple Discontinues the iPhone 6s and the iPhone SE

Apple, which announced iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone Xr today, has decreased the starting price of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 and discontinued the iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone X.

So, if you have a thing for both iPhones and headphone jacks, this is unfortunate news for you as the current iPhone lineup, which consists of the iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone Xr, iPhone Xs, and iPhone Xs Max does not feature the headphone jack. You can surely try buying the older models through a third-party retailer, but you will not be able to buy them officially from Apple’s online store.

The starting price of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 series has been lowered by $100. This means that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will now cost $449 and $569, respectively, bringing the price more in line with mid-range handsets.

So, if you have always wanted to buy an Apple phone but the price was holding you back, now is your chance to get hold of one. The iPhone 7 series is powered by the A10 Fusion chip and is IP67 certified against water and dust. The iPhone 7 has a 4.7-inch LCD display and a 12MP camera with F/1.8 aperture.

On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus sports a 5.5-inch LCD display and features a dual 12MP camera setup on the back. Both the phones have a 7MP front camera and offer 4K video recording at 30 fps.

The iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus now start at $599, and $699, respectively, with both phones being fueled by Apple’s A11 Bionic chips. All iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 models are also upgradable to iOS 12 which will be released on September 17. You can also take advantage of the iPhone Upgrade Program to buy a new unlocked iPhone from Apple directly.
