According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Bezos’ fortune surpassed the $150 billion mark. Bill Gates, the co-founder of the tech giant Microsoft, is in second place with $95.3 billion. Soon after, we have the entrepreneur Warren Buffett and the social network giant Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg.
In January, Bezos ‘equity surpassed Bill Gates’ record high of $100 billion in 1999. However, this comparison fails to take account of one important detail: inflation over the past two decades. By this criterion – the real value – Gates was still ahead.

Until this week. According to Bloomberg, Gates’ fortune in 1999 would be worth about $149 billion today. However, Jeff Bezos really managed to surpass the tech giant Microsoft co-founder.
