Apparently, during this visit, Gerighty was shown Death Stranding and he was quite impressed with what Kojima showed him. “Over the course of making #TheDivision2 we did many many awesome things and received support from many other developers”, the creative director wrote on Twitter.
He added, “Hugely thankful to @Kojima_Hideo for having welcomed us to his gorgeous studio and shown us his mind blowing game.
Trust me, #DeathStranding will be timeless.”

Death Stranding was officially announced at E3 2016 following Kojima’s departure from Konami in 2015. The game is currently slated for a release on PlayStation 4 but has yet to receive a release date. Earlier this month, Kojima revealed that development on the game is slightly behind schedule.
