Apple is almost done adding refinements to its next lineup of software updates, and it’s expected that we will see the final release some time later this month alongside the release of iPhone XR. Before that happens though, we have macOS 10.14.1 beta 4 to fiddle around with which is packed with bug fixes and performance related enhancements.

If you’re a registered developer then you can go right ahead and install the update over the air in a matter of minutes. But before you do that, please make sure you have saved all your work to a safe and secure location as the completion of the update requires you to restart your Mac.

So, once you’ve sorted out your work, just connect to the internet using WiFi or Ethernet, and then launch System Preferences and then click on Software Update. Once the update shows up here, simple install it. The download may take a while if you have a slow internet connection. Once done, you can start using your Mac normally.

It’s unclear at this point whether or not Apple has thrown in a surprise change in this release. If it has, then we will highlight it here. But in all honesty, don’t expect much from this release, until or unless you rely a lot on the Mac for all sorts of right reasons.
