Soon enough, players owning modern gaming hardware will be able to play all entries in the Mega Man X series thanks to the Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 + 2, which has finally been confirmed officially today.
Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 + 2 will include, according to the trailer released today, all eight entries in the Mega Man X series, the first four in the first collection and the final four in the second, as well as a new mode called X Challenge, where players will be able to fight bosses taken from all entries in the series. A Museum Mode including The Day of Sigma OVA will also be available. Graphics will also be improved, with a filter option for 2D games and a resolution increase for 3D ones.

The Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 + 2 have been confirmed for a July release in Japan, and a Western release date has yet to be confirmed. It probably won’t be too far off from the Japanese one, and we will let you know more about it as soon as possible.
Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 + 2 launches on a yet to be confirmed date in North America and Europe on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
