It’s been two weeks since Microsoft started to release the Windows 10 October 2018 Update to the public, which was later put on pause due to a plethora of issues. The company has begun the re-release process with its Insider community.
Having released a Preview Build last week, Microsoft has just started to roll out Windows 10 October 2018 Update Build 17763.104 (KB4464455) to Windows Insiders in the Slow and Release Preview rings.

Today’s Windows 10 October 2018 Update cumulative update brings the follows changes and fixes
- We have fixed the issue where the incorrect details were being shown in Task Manager under the “Processes” tab.
- We fixed an issue where in certain cases IME would not work in the first process of a Microsoft Edge user session.
- We fixed an issue where in some cases applications would become unresponsive after resuming from Connected Standby.
- We fixed several issues causing application compatibility problems with 3rd-party antivirus and virtualization products.
- We fixed several issues with driver compatibility.
The Windows maker has had to deal with a furious backlash after early adopters started reporting several issues with version 1809. From data deletion to driver issues brought by Intel and HP, the company has been releasing critical updates to address the issues for the minority of users who have already installed Windows 10 October 2018 Update and are experiencing problems.
If everything goes smoothly with today’s build, it is likely that Microsoft will finally be able to push the latest version of Windows 10 to the public later this week or next Tuesday.
