Mozilla Just Launched An Awesome New App For Android
One of the most recommended measures to protect the authenticity and the security of an account is to use strong passwords, with special characters, numbers, etc. The problem with this type of password is that, although they are difficult to guess, but, they are difficult to remember, so one option to consider in order to “unravel” is to use a password manager like LastPass or the one that the tech giant Google has integrated by default in Chrome.
Now it’s Mozilla that adds up with its own alternative, yes, the all-new Firefox Lockbox. Earlier it was released for the tech giant Apple’s mobile operating system, of course, iOS and now Mozilla officially launched the Firefox Lockbox for Android.

Its operation is exactly the same as the rest of the alternatives available on the market, with the difference that if you use Firefox on the desktop you can simply synchronize the passwords between mobile and PC.
Hence, if you already use password managers you will surely know how Lockbox works, but if you are new, it is worth reviewing their operation. As when you install the Lockbox, you must authorize it as an autocomplete service.
In this way, the app can “read” the screen and see what fields it can fill. So, when you click on the “Password” text box, the application will simply detect it and fill it automatically using the credentials that are stored in the application.
It is a very useful app, although the all-new Firefox Lockbox is in its first version and sometimes it shows some bugs. But, still you can always access the application, copy the user and password manually by pressing the dedicated button and paste both into the app in which you want to log in.

In terms of security, passwords are encrypted with a 256-bit key and, in order to prevent anyone from accessing them, you can simply protect the application with a fingerprint or a pin, so that only you can access your credentials.
As usual in Mozilla, Firefox Lockbox is a completely free application that can be downloaded on any Android device. While it is true that there are more popular alternatives, it can be a tool to be taken into account by all those people who use Firefox as a default browser on their mobile or PC.
