Nokia 9 PureView Case Renders Reveal a Notch at the Top, With Five Lenses at the Back

Since almost all of the reports had pointed out that the upcoming Nokia 9 PureView will not have a notched display, nobody questioned the validity of this claim. However, some recently leaked pictures are suggesting otherwise, as they depict a dummy with a small notch. In addition to the presence of a notch cut out, the pictures have also revealed another detail.

There Is a Slim Chance That the PureView Technology Will Not Debut With the Nokia 9 Launch

The new pictures show the Nokia 9 PureView covers as well as a dummy device. Although the Zeiss branding is visible in the midst of the Penta-Lens setup, the PureView moniker is nowhere to be seen. Prior to this, Nokia 9 PureView cases were spotted on Amazon that promised a December 1 delivery.

The most talked about aspect of the upcoming phone is undoubtedly its unique camera setup. Moreover, the Nokia 9 (2018) is also expected to come with an in-display fingerprint reader. The phone is rumored to come with a 5.9-inch OLED display and Snapdragon 845 SoC.

Initially, it was thought that the Nokia 9 PureView will be announced at the company’s upcoming press conference in Dubai, but a new report has suggested that the Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas has decided to delay the launch of the phone. While the exact reason behind the supposed decision is not known, it might be because the PureView technology was acquired only recently and the company needs more time for a proper implementation.

The Nokia 9 PureView is already late, as its predecessor was launched in September 2017. Implementing the PureView technology apparently requires a lot of planning and optimization on the software font. However, the delay doesn’t seem to be long this time around, as reports have claimed that instead of a December 5 launch, the phone could be unveiled by the end of December.

With a quadruple rear camera found on the Galaxy A9 (2018), it is not difficult to imagine that smartphone manufacturers will continue to push the boundaries of imaging on portable devices. Huawei also said that it will launch a smartphone with four lenses at the back, so seeing a penta-lens system might not be the craziest idea ever.
