PS Plus Games for March Include Bloodborne and Ratchet & Clank, PS3 and Vita to be Dropped

Sony has revealed the free games PlayStation Plus subscribers will have a chance to tackle next month. After a so-so February headlined by Knack and Rime, PS Plus rebounds in a big way in March with From Software’s Bloodborne and the PS4 remake of Ratchet Clank.

Here’s Sony’s full rundown of March’s free PS Plus games:

Bloodborne

Hunt your nightmares as you search for answers in the ancient city of Yharnam, now cursed with a strange endemic illness spreading through the streets like wildfire. Danger, death and madness lurk around every corner of this dark and horrific world, and you must discover its darkest secrets in order to survive.

Ratchet Clank

Based on elements from the original Ratchet Clank, this remake brings Insomniac’s classic, out-of-this-world-gameplay to the PS4. Join Ratchet, Clank, Captain Qwark, and their new friends as they battle to save the Solana Galaxy. Armed with an arsenal of original weapons the franchise is renowned for, including the new Pixelizer and fan-favorites like the dance-party-inducing Groovitron, you’ll explore the galaxy and get a deeper look at the origin story of these two beloved characters.

This month’s PlayStation Plus lineup also includes:

  • Legend of Kay, PS3
  • Mighty No. 9, PS3 (Cross Buy with PS4)
  • Claire: Extended Cut, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4)
  • Bombing Busters, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4)

Not bad! Unfortunately, it’s not all good news – Sony has also announced some changes are coming to PS Plus. As of March 8, 2019 Sony will stop offering free PS3 and PS Vita games through the service. Don’t worry, you’ll continue to have access to all the PS Plus games you’ve downloaded, and Sony will still be offering PS3 and Vita games for the next year. Sony cutting off the flow of free PS3 and Vita games was probably inevitable, and they certainly gave us lots of advance notice, but it’s still somewhat disappointing.

What are your thoughts on this month’s PS Plus lineup? Upset that PS3 and Vita games are getting the boot, or is it time to move on?
