We go hands-on with the Spigen F303W Wireless Fast Charger. Should you buy it? Find out in our quick review.

The Spigen F303W Features an Elegant Design and a Great Price Point – But Might Not be the One for iPhone Users

Disclaimer: Spigen did not send me this charger for review. I bought it in my personal capacity and I’m writing this quick review just to give our readers a glimpse of what they can expect once they buy it for themselves too.

Ever since I bought the iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus for myself, I’ve been exploring quite a few wireless charging options available in the market. The one from Spigen which we are going to look at today has been around for quite a while and I was curious to see what the company has to offer.

A quick look at the box reveals the usual marketing stuff outside. Pop it open and you are presented with the F303W charger itself, a micro USB cable, a double-sided adhesive to stick the charger in place (if you want to), a quick start guide along with a warning manual that you should use a Quick Charge 2.0 or 3.0 charger with the wireless stand. Speaking of which, the charger does not ship with a wall adapter and you have to supply your own.

Design-wise the F303W manages to stand out in a lot of ways. It has a soft matte coating all around and feels very, very light. I suggest using that adhesive if you want to keep this in place.

Flip over the charger and you’ll see a micro USB port for plugging it in to a wall brick. Once connected, just place your phone on the top and it will start juicing up.

Since this has a dual-coil design therefore you can charge your smartphone in either landscape or portrait mode. Those fast charging speeds (up to 9V) will become available to you if you place a supported device on it like a Samsung Galaxy S6, S7, S8 or the S9 and a few others.

As soon as you place a device on top, there’s a blue LED indicator at the bottom that lights up immediately to confirm that things are going smoothly. It’s pretty visible, and adds a nice touch to the overall aesthetics of the F303W.

iPhone users are in not so much luck here as speeds are capped to just 5W rather than 7.5W. Though this is not a deal breaker at all, at least not for me since I’m gonna use this charger on my work desk, but this is definitely something which everyone else should consider. If you are looking to pick the F303W just to fast charge your iPhone, then you’d be mistaken. For me, it’s absolutely fine since I don’t need those faster charging rates.

Overall, the Spigen F303W is a very high quality wireless charger that happens to be Qi Certified as well. If you are looking for something that’s simple, elegant, keeps your phone upright while charging, then you can’t go wrong with this at all. There are tons of similar options available, even cheaper, which you should explore too before making your decision. From my end, this one gets a thumbs up.
