Samsung Reportedly Preparing Another Triple-Camera Device, and It’s Expected to Feature the More Powerful Snapdragon 710

Samsung’s foray into the triple-camera smartphone lineup started with the launch of the Galaxy A7, with the Korean giant being the first manufacturer in the world to unveil its quadruple lens handset, the Galaxy A9. Samsung is also expected to launch its Galaxy S10 Plus in 2019, making this the first flagship from the Korean giant to sport multiple lenses at the back.

However, the company is reportedly putting extra attention on its less expensive smartphone series, and from the looks of it, another member of the Galaxy A lineup is going to feature a triple-camera setup at the back. The good news is that it is going to sport a SoC with a bit more kick, which our readers will be pleased to read about. For those that don’t want to splurge money on a flagship can opt to a purchase a device that ships with nearly the same high-end features, and at a lower cost.

Newest Galaxy A Member Might Even Sport a Telephoto Lens, Which the Galaxy A7 Does Not Feature

The latest tweet shared by Samsung_News reveals new info related to another premium device that is not a member of Samsung’s flagships. If you recall, the Galaxy A7 offered users a triple-camera solution at the back, but it did not feature a telephoto lens. Instead, it came with a wide-angle camera, a depth sensor and one primary lens. This was a disappointing aspect of the device and fortunately, the Galaxy A9 was quickly able to make up for this.

The Galaxy A7 also comes with less powerful internal specifications, which only means Samsung plans to outfit this one with better hardware in both the processing and optics categories. The following is a speculation, but we believe that the upcoming smartphone will provide a wide-angle and telephoto lens combination so that users are able to get the most out of their portable device.

To be honest, depth-sensing can also take place through software, just like how Google does it with the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. In short, it would be a waste of a lens and space to see another depth sensor find its way in the triple-camera setup of the device. The presence of a Snapdragon 710 indicates that users will able to experience flagship-like performance from this smartphone without paying the price for one.

With the premium category of handsets getting more and more competitive, manufacturers like Samsung should divert their energy and resources towards seizing a market in the less expensive device categories.
