That’s right, Applesophy has found references for the case in“Apple Premium Reseller Accessory Merchandising Guidelines” documents. the document is meant only for Apple employees and its use inside the Apple Stores. So let’s dive in to see some more details on the matter.

The “Apple Premium Reseller Accessory Merchandising Guidelines” document which we mentioned earlier is meant for Fall 2018. In addition to this, it also highlights the new Winter cases which have been released by the company for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. This means that there’s a pretty good chance that Apple might release the new Smart Battery case for the iPhone XS before this year ends.

Previously, Apple has also offered a Smart Battery case for the iPhone 7 and the product was quite popular as it featured a pretty strong integration with iOS. However, Apple has not released a refreshed version of the Smart Battery case since then. This is about to change though if the leaks are anything to go by. We might see the design improve, addressing the potential issues users might have had before along with a bigger battery.

In addition, it would be interesting to see if the case will support wireless charging, something Apple added in the later models of the iPhone.
