Spider-Man Gets Gorgeous New PS4 Pro 4K Screens, Additional Spider Suit Info Revealed

Marvel’s Spider-Man is a very, very nice looking game. Sure, there may be slightly more detailed or technically-impressive titles out there, but Spider-Man is a handsome, sharp-looking game, that definitely impresses on a big 4K screen. But hey, you don’t have to take my word for it – Sony and developer Insomniac Games have released some new 4K PS4 Pro screens that should get you crawling the walls with excitement. Check ‘em out below (click on the images for full resolution).

In other wallcrawler news, USGamer recently went hands-on with the first couple hours of Spidey’s latest, during which they managed to glean some more info about the game’s wide array of Spider suits. Apparently, there will a total of 25 different suits to unlock – in addition to the Spider-Punk, Iron Spider, Velocity Suit, Homecoming, Spider-Man Noir and classic Steve Ditko alternate costumes that have already been confirmed, Secret War, Scarlet Spider, Spider-Armor Mark II, and Spider-Man 2099 outfits were glimpsed. Not a bad lineup so far! As we previously reported, Insomniac originally considered over 60 Spidey outfits, so it will be interesting to see what else makes the cut.

I got a chance to go hands-on with Spider-Man at E3, and, for the most part, I came away impressed…

“While I walked away from my hands-on time with Spider-Man with a few quibbles about the game’s traversal, there’s no denying Insomniac’s comic book romp grabbed me. . While I’m generally satisfied to try most E3 demos once and move on, I snuck back for seconds and third helpings of the game and was tempted indulge in even more. Spider-Man doesn’t reinvent the open-world superhero template established by Batman: Arkham City, but it sands off some of the rough edges, creating a light, accessible, open-world adventure a broad range of gamers and comic book fans ought to get wrapped up in.”

Spider-Man swings onto shelves on September 7.
