The HTC U12+ Leaks In No Less Than 11 Live Images! Dual Front Camera, No 3.5mm Earphone Jack And A ‘Bot’ Like Look Present

Over this past couple of years, market dynamics for flagship smartphones have shifted. Initially, manufacturers other than Samsung and Apple managed to make headlines. But as OLED and other costly technologies became necessary for survival, manufacturers the likes of HTC found it hard to compete and stay profitable.

While the Taiwanese manufacturer is one of the first companies to manufacture an Android smartphone, it’s been out of luck of late. Now, rumors of an HTC U12+ look to make a slight reversal in HTC’s fortunes. Take a look below for more details.

Latest HTC U12+ Images Confirm Dual Front Camera And A Notch-Free Design For The Smartphone; Device Will Feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845, 6GB RAM and 64/128GB Internal Storage Suggest Rumors

Right now, the current outrage in Android is all about display cutouts. After Apple’s introduction of 3D facial recognition on the iPhone X necessitated the feature, other manufacturers have got on the bandwagon. This doesn’t fall well with Android fans, who have made their displeasure known. Now, if you’re looking for a high-end 2018 smartphone without a display notch, HTC’s got you covered.

Leaks and rumors for the smartphone consistently promise an edge-to-edge display, with a top bezel. A dual front camera is also the focus of many leaks, especially as the presence of a bezel removes the need for a top sensor cutout on the HTC U12+. Today, we’ve got a lot of images of the smartphone, which display it from all angles.

As you can see, the lack of a completely bezel-free design doesn’t really harm the HTC U12+. In fact, the rather strictly carved top and bottom panels, when combined with a dual front camera setup give the device a nice ‘bot’ like appearance; one which is strictly concerned with performance, as is Android’s mantra from the start. Speaking of performance, the HTC U12+ is rumored to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845, 6GB RAM and two storage variants of 64GB and 128GB.

Additionally, if you’re hawk-eyed, the device shown above does not feature a 3.5mm earphone jack. Looks like HTC will follow Apple in this one department, even as it chooses its own way with a top cutout. The ‘bot-like’ appearance follows through on the device’s back as well, where we’ve got a dual camera sensor setup and a fingerprint reader. Thought?
