We know you’ll want iOS 12 GM (Gold Master) way before anyone else come September 12, so take these measures right now.
You Can Download iOS 12 GM on September 12 if You Have the Configuration Profile or Signed up to Apple’s Beta Software Program
As is the case every single year, Apple is going to release iOS 12 GM to developers and testers before pushing the update out to everyone else later this year. This is done so that last minute bugs are ironed out in case they manifest in any way. But usually, the GM build is seeded as-is to everyone at a later date and it’s rare that Apple runs into a slight hiccup.

Apple releases the GM build of its mobile software on the day it announces new iPhone hardware, so it’s safe to assume that we’ll see iOS 12 GM on September 12. If you’re looking to download the build on the very same day it comes out then there are two routes you can take.
Download the iOS Configuration Profile for Developers
On September 12th, when the IOS 12 GM goes live on the Apple Developer Program website, simply download the iOS configuration profile onto your device and the GM release will be pushed to you over the air. But obviously, you’ll need a paid membership in order to do that, therefore we’ll cut through the middle man and give you a chance to download the profile from here instead. But remember, install the profile once the iOS 12 GM build goes live on the developer website. After that, the update will be pushed to you over the air.

Roll Into the Beta Software Program
Don’t want to go through the trouble of installing profiles and waiting in line. There’s a perfectly safe way to go about things too: simply sign up for Apple’s public beta program. It’s absolutely free, and once the GM comes out, you’ll get it over the air too. You can learn more about it by going here.
Before going ahead, it’s important to know that iOS 12 is compatible with 64-bit devices only. If you have an old device like the iPhone 5, then you will be left out of the game. It’s probably a good time to upgrade your iPhone as well, after all, the new ones are right on the horizon.
