What is Worm?

Worms are malware computer programs which are capable enough to replicate themselves. The sole purpose of Worms is to increase their population and transfer themselves to another computer. Worms usually spread themselves via the internet or through storage media. However, Worms doesn’t harm the computer, their replication process might consume your disk drive space, but they don’t hurt or damage system files.

What is Virus?

Well, just like Worms, Viruses are also capable enough to replicate themselves. However, Virus is dangerous compared to worms because they can damage your computer. They can play with your system process, install unwanted tools and much more. However, Viruses also have a significant weakness; they can perform their task only if they have the support of a host program.

Viruses spread themselves via songs, videos, and some executable files. There are different types of computer virus available on the internet including Macro Viruses, Master Boot Record Viruses, Boot Sector Viruses, Polymorphic Viruses and much more.

What Is Trojan?

Trojans are much more different compared to viruses or worms. But, Trojans are never meant to damage or interfere with system files. The sole purpose of trojans is to provide a backdoor gateway from where malicious programs or hackers can enter your system. Usually, trojans are used to steal sensitive details from victims computer without their permissions, and this is what makes Trojans dangerous.

What is Adware?

Adwares are different from trojans, viruses, and worms. These are meant to display advertisements on your computer or smartphone. Adware typically enters victims computer through free-to-use software, and they don’t harm devices, but they can slow down your device. Adwares are often the primary source for developers to generate revenue.

What is Spyware?

Just like adware, spyware also comes attached with programs that you download from the internet. Spywares are meant to track your browsing habits and other personal details from victims computer. Spywares send the details to a remote user and they can also install unwanted or malicious files from the internet. However, unlike adware, spyware do their work silently, and they work as a standalone program.
