Windows 10 April 2018 Update RTM Receives Cumulative Update

Earlier this morning, Microsoft announced the Windows 10 April 2018 Update, which will be made available to the public on April 30. The Windows 10 1803 RTM build 17134 is now receiving a cumulative update for Insiders in the Fast, Slow and Release Preview rings who are currently testing this build.

“Are you on build 17134.1? If so, check for updates! KB4135051 is now published and will update you to 17134.5,” the company said in a tweet. “This applies to all rings: Fast, Slow, and Release Preview. This is a quick download/install. Let us know how it goes!”

Windows 10 17134.5 now available to all rings

Windows 10 17134 was released on April 16 to the Fast ring Insiders and fixed a blocking bug that had initially delayed the release of Windows 10 1803. Promoted to the Slow and Release Preview rings on April 20, the RTM build is now receiving its cumulative update.

Officially known as Windows 10 April 2018 Update, today’s cumulative update should be a small update that is usually designed to just remove the Insider markers without adding any new features or addressing any major bug fixes. Considering there is no changelog available yet, it is likely this particular build is only focusing on removing the markers and not addressing any last-minute bugs.

We will update this space if Microsoft shares whether Windows 10 17134. 5 is bringing some bug fixes. The actual bug fixes for this particular build should arrive on May 8, which is also next month’s Patch Tuesday.
