World of Warcraft Classic Demo Already Playable for Some it Seems; Quests and NPCs are Absent

It appears that the upcoming World of Warcraft Classic demo is already playable for some enthusiastic fans.

The demo client went up for preload last week for those who purchased a Blizzcon 2018 Virtual Ticket. Datamining revealed some interesting details about the upcoming demo, including modern visual settings and the addition of a Classic button in the system pane. We already covered some comparison shots between the modern Ultra High graphics settings and the original ‘Classic’ settings, and this new comparison video from Dodgy Kebaab shows some more interesting tidbits.

Apparently, Dodgy Kebaab was able to download the WoW Classic demo from Blizzard’s cdn-servers before the preload went live, and a sandbox emulator was used to run the client’s content without being able to connect to Blizzard’s servers. While the demo’s world can be explored, NPCs and quests are absent while running the file through the used sandbox emulator.

The Classic Demo will go live on November 2 for those who purchased a Virtual Ticket for Blizzcon 2018. The demo will also be playable at Blizzard’s event later this week.
