WoW! Apple Starts Offering Free 1-Month Paid iCloud Storage
In most cases, the free 5GB iCloud space easily gets populated with photos, videos and other files. Thinking about it, the tech giant Apple wants to encourage some users to migrate to paid service plans.
In a promotion held in the United States, the company is offering a free month of additional space on iCloud for those who have only the basic plan. When there is an attempt to save something to an account that is already full, the service displays a message promoting a paid plan.
“You do not have enough space on iCloud to back up your iPhone. A 50GB plan gives you plenty of room to keep backing up your iPhone. Your first month is free and costs only $0.99 a month later,” the notice says.
When accepting the proposal, the user is referred to the plan change area and can choose one of three plans from iCloud. After the first month, automatic charging starts. However, you can unsubscribe at any time.
The free month is not being offered to anyone who already signs an iCloud plan and is close to taking up all the available space. Unfortunately, there is no information yet that the offer is being made for users in India.
