May’s new Xbox Live Games With Gold titles have been revealed – as usual, you’ll be getting the standard two Xbox One games and two Xbox 360 games. Of course, the Xbox 360 games can be played on Xbox One via backward compatibility. Oddly, the games haven’t been officially unveiled through the Microsoft’s Xbox Wire blog yet, but fans discovered an unlisted trailer for the lineup hiding on the Xbox YouTube channel.
So, there’s a small chance this lineup may yet change, but it seems unlikely. Next month’s selection includes Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Platinum Games actionfest Vanquish, arcade sports game Super Mega Baseball 2, and a retro Streets of Rage collection. Interestingly, Super Mega Baseball 2 is a new-release game, coming out on May 1.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Sega Vintage Collection: Streets of Rage
Join Axel, Blaze, and company as they battle the evil Mr. X across all three Streets of Rage games. Originally released for Sega Genesis, the classic brawlers have now been updated for release on Xbox! Earn all new achievements, take on challenging new game trials, compete with others players across Xbox Live Leaderboards, and clean up the streets with a friend in two player local and online co-op!
Streets of Rage will be available from May 1 to 15, Metal Gear Solid V and Vanquish will be available on May 16, and Super Mega Baseball 2 can be downloaded all month long. As always, once you download a Games With Gold title, you’ll have permanent access to it, so long as you still have an active Xbox Live Gold membership.
Certainly an eclectic Games With Gold lineup this month. A couple must-plays in MGSV and Vanquish, an all-new title, and a collection of 25-year-old Genesis games. Anything strike your fancy this month?
