Xiaomi Just Launched Its New Gaming Laptop

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is well known for its smartphones, but, apart from the smartphones it also sells laptops like Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Notebook Air. However this time it has released a new version of a laptop which is focused on gamers and the highlight is for the price.

The Mi Gaming Laptop features Full-HD 15.6-inch thin edges and range of Adobe Wide Gamut RGB colour. The body is brushed aluminium.

The basic configuration includes 7-generation Intel Core i5 processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics chip, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD with 1 TB hard drive.

Meanwhile, the most powerful version has Core i7 processor, GTX 1060 graphics chip, 16 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD with 1 TB hard drive.

The structure of the Mi Gaming Laptop allows for better cooling, with room for a 12V fan, four air vents and a 3 + 2 design for the heat pipe. It also has a “Tornado” button to speed up the fan and enable quick cooling, promising to reduce the internal temperature by 3°C to 5°C within ten minutes.

Both the models are 20.6 mm thick. Both versions have a backlit keyboard with up to 16 million colours and five programmable keys on the left side, plus Dolby Atmos audio, four USB 3.0 ports, two USB-C ports, HDMI and headphone jack.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi’s new Mi Gaming Laptop will go on sale in China from April 13 and will cost around $960 (basic model).

Meanwhile, the most powerful version will leave for $1,440; as The Next Web notes, an Alienware laptop with comparable specifications costs the equivalent of $2860 in China – almost twice as much.
