Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship, the Mi MIX 3 is less than a week away from getting announced. This means we’re expected to witness an influx of leaks leading up to that launch. One of the notable differences belonging to the smartphone is it will sport that interesting sliding camera mechanism to achieve an all-screen look. For the most the part, the leaks, which include the official teasers, have kept our focus on the front side of the phone. However, a photo has appeared of the smartphone that apparently reveals the backside of the premium device, and it provides interesting details about it too.
Mi MIX 3 Allegedly Leak Image Reveals Upcoming Flagship Might Not Feature an in-Display Fingerprint Scanner
The live image seen via SlashLeaks show the back of the two Mi MIX 3 units. At first glance, both the units look same as the rear ends of Mi MIX 2. The image shows a physical fingerprint scanner at the back, dispelling all the previous rumors of in-display fingerprint readers for Mi MIX 3. However, you should be reminded that the PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate RS features both a physical and optical fingerprint reader, so anything is possible.

Also observed is the ceramic back that Xiaomi seems to have decided to stick within their MIX 3 lineups as well. Again, this leaked image has not been confirmed, and we could see a whole different smartphone being revealed soon during the official launch.
Moving on to the changes seen, the ‘Mi MIX designed by Xiaomi’ logo found on the previous model has been replaced by a large ‘MIX’ tag in gold lettering at the slightly lower area of the handset. There’s also a secondary grill located at the bottom part of the Mi MIX 3, presumably for cosmetic purposes.

Lastly, the color option; we have observed the standard black Mi MIX 3 models since the original one premiered, but the blue colored handset shown in the leak above is new for this MIX lineup. The dark blue finish looks neat and we are hoping they have more options in color for consumers to choose from when purchasing the Mi MIX 3.
As far as specifications are concerned, we do not have much information on it, but the Mi MIX 3 is confirmed to sport a 10GB RAM variant and will be ‘one of the first smartphones in the world’ to be compatible with the next-generation 5G networks. Also expected to be present in Mi MIX 3 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 SoC. This phone will officially launch on October 25th, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
